Sarah Priscilla
“No aesthetic because I am the aesthetic”
Sarah’s Q+A
Who is your fashion role model?
I precisely remember the day when I began to understand fashion. I’ve been “small” “tiny” “slim” “skinny” my entire life. I used to be bullied for having “stick” arms & legs. Even to this day, I struggle with body dysmorphia and I am constantly giving myself grief over things not fitting properly. And then I read a fashion blog column on Victoria Beckham.
What is your favorite brand?
My favorite brand is Hanifa Co., by Founder & Designer, Anifa Mvuemba. We are both Congolese, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. She is brilliant, smart, strong and a true icon in the fashion industry. In 2020, Pink Label Congo debuted via a 3D virtual runway show. Hanifa is credited as being the first to ever do it. This was a groundbreaking moment in fashion because so many shows were cancelled due to the pandemic. Many brands followed in [her] footsteps. I will always support my people but especially those in creative fields like myself. In Miami I bought my first Hanifa piece for my 23rd birthday, right before quarantine began. I will forever cherish that moment.
What is your dream item to add to your wardrobe right now?
Lately, I’ve been into the “model off duty” in athleisure wear look, so my dream is to own a complete Coco Chanel athleisure (tennis) set – the clothes, shoes, accessories, and tennis racket. Chanel is my favorite luxury brand!
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Chic, Detailed & Revolved. Like my instagram feed, I don’t have an aesthetic because I am the aesthetic. I just like fashion + styling so I wear whatever I want, when I want.
What is one item that you would wear for the rest of your life?
Boots. I’m actually obsessed. I’ve been a fan since I was a child. I have many styles of boots but I’ve always wanted moon boots. I’d be perfect for this upcoming winter season.
What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
Oh I love this question. This past summer, I rebranded my instagram header name to read: “Sarah | Inspo For WOC”This initiative [Inspo for Women Of Color] is the catalyst to my journey in the creative industry. You don’t see many girls, who look like me, in many of today’s “trendiest” aesthetics. I mean, you go on pinterest and you see a black girl one every hundredth pin. We all get stacked under one photo category and that’s so unfair because we are DIVERGENT. Obviously, we exist. But then again, do we really? Social media platforms are essentially engineered to shadowban us.
*Bonus – Goal Acheived*
One of my social media friends, Shane, said this about me in a post: “…Sarah I think does an amazing job as a woman of color taking many popular trends and styles today and finding a way to incorporate diversity…she is a prime example for black girls that may want to get into fashion but don’t feel like trends and fashion trends caters to them.” This was a pinch me moment because it means that people understand [my] assignment.

Melissa Jay
“Hi i’m Melissa, the founder, creator, and editor of bymelissajay, a blog focusing on fashion, lifestyle and all other things related to the hot mess that is my life. bmj was born in 2020, when at the ripe old age of 24, found myself a little bit creatively stifled by the rabbit hole that is the corporate world.
I won’t claim that this blog is anything groundbreaking, but the goal is just to share outfits and all the other things I like and hopefully it will be either entertaining or helpful to someone, somewhere.”
Melissa’s Q+A
Who is your fashion role model?
I have always loved Hailey Bieber’s style. I think her style captures the perfect mix of masculine and feminine energy and she keeps everything cool and interesting while maintaining a certain level of timelessness. But I am also inspired by a lot of other people—I think @jujhavens style has a really similar vibe and achieves that vibe without shopping exclusively high end.
What is your favorite brand?
Well, I probably shop at Zara more than anywhere else. I genuinely love so much of their stuff, but I feel like now, more than ever, if you have something from Zara half of your friends probably have it too. That being said, in the past couple months, I’ve still probably bought the most things from Zara, Aritzia and Abercrombie- the trilogy for all basic girls in 2021.
What is your dream item to add to your wardrobe right now?
Bottega has so many cool coats right now that I am obsessed with, so probably a trench or some type of coat from them. I also am obsessed with this bag from BY FAR right now, the amber leather shoulder bag.
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Neutral, simple, trendy.
What is one item that you would wear for the rest of your life?
A bold choice for the geriatric stage of life but my @songofstyle Bea Boots.
What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
It’s important to note that this isn’t coming from someone who has always been the fashionable friend. For a long time I thought that I wasn’t “cool” enough to be that person. I thought that because I didn’t have the coolest, most expensive clothes that I defaulted to the bottom tier of the fashion pyramid. But I realized after a while the ONLY person telling me I couldn’t “pull something off” or that I just wasn’t fashionable enough was me. So, I guess, the goal is just to get as many people to realize that as possible!

Arianna’s Q+A
Who is your fashion role model?
I’m incredibly inspired by the young designers and creators in the space, particularly Matilda Djerf and Danielle Guizio. I am obsessed with both their personal style and their remarkable careers. I’m so excited to see how they continue to grow their brands and conquer the industry.
What is your favorite brand?
I don’t own anything from it (yet) but I am totally in love with every single thing Jacquemus creates. I love color and texture, and they do it in the most fun and exciting way. They are luxury, yet feel attainable and down-to-earth, which I really admire.
What is your dream item to add to your wardrobe right now?
This is almost an impossible question. Because it’s winter and I have cute 70s fluffy coat envy, I would kill for a Charlotte Simone coat right now.
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Approachable, trend-driven, elevated casual.
What is one item that you would wear for the rest of your life?
I can’t choose just one so I’m going with an outfit: A good oversized blazer/trouser set with a bralette and chunky sneakers + gold jewelry.
What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
Work Goal
One of my major goals is to continue to develop and discover my personal style while collaborating with amazing brands I love. It’s been so rewarding for me to see my growth as a creator the past 5+ years and the brands I’ve been able to create for.
Personal Goal
The most important goal, however, is to continue to connect with the people that are following my journey and to inspire them through shared experiences. There’s nothing that makes me happier than when an 18 year old girl from my alma mater messages me saying that they are studying what I studied and want to move to NYC one day too.

Tiffany’s Q+A
Who is your fashion role model?
I can definitely say that Hailey Bieber is my fashion role model. I’ve always admired how she turn a pair of sweatpants into a whole new look by simply styling it with a blazer or throwing on some heels bringing a whole new definition to sweatpants. Haha I have a whole saved folder on my Instagram of just #OOTD inspirations from Hailey, of course!
What is your favorite brand?
Zara, is definitely my number 1 brand from their marketing strategies to overall pieces. I love how no matter how many different Zara stores you enter in one day you won’t always run into the same pieces which makes my shopping experience that much more interesting. Although, most of my generation shops online I am definitely a bit more old schooled and love that in-person experience and that’s why I love Zara for all my go-to’s.
What is your dream item to add to your wardrobe right now?
I would love to add the Dior saddle bag to my closet as I love how easy it is to style in many different ways.
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Simple, Trendy, and Edgy. I would say it’s so hard to describe my style in 3 words, because honestly, I am constantly changing up my outfits from causal to streetwear to chic and just about anything depending on my mood for the day.
What is one item that you would wear for the rest of your life?
BLAZER! Blazers have always been a staple in my closet ever since I could remember. My favorite thing about blazers is just how easy they are to style up or down. For example, you could easily style it for the office, a day at school, running errands, date night, brunch, or simply just for an everyday look.
What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
My biggest goal as an influencer is to help young women like myself feel more empowered and confident in their goals and aspirations. I love sharing my real-life moments from the highlights of my life to the not so glamorous days that life brings us only because, life isn’t perfect, and I want my girls to understand this by creating a safe space for us all.

Crystal’s Q+A
Who is your fashion role model?
I have plenty of fashion role models, but one of my recents favs these days would definitely have to be @ellenvlora! Her aesthetic and creativity is out of this world. She’s trendy, bold, and so versatile! She offers perspectives that people don’t usually think from, which I LOVE.
What is your favorite brand?
Hm, I have a lot of brands I love and shop from! In terms of fashion, I’m a huge Aritzia girl. Their basics are amazing, but I’m also very big on blazers year round. So they have my heart (and money) for sure for staple pieces. But in regards to beauty, I love Summer Fridays! Their aesthetics, branding, and products are amazing! Their Jetlag mask and lip balms are both must-haves.
What is your dream item to add to your wardrobe right now?
A dream item I’d love to add to my closet and that I’ve been eyeing are the platform Prada loafers — they’re SO cute and staple. I feel like they would never go out of style!
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Versatile. Chic. Experimental.
What is one item that you would wear for the rest of your life?
A blazer, a blazer, and a blazer. For sure, a blazer. They’re just so versatile! And if you didn’t hear me the first time, a blazer, hehe.
What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
My goal as a content creator/influencer is just to keep growing. Within myself and my community. I’d love to reflect on how my style/aesthetic has changed over the years and on the friends I’ve grown to make in this online community.
