Camila Vilas – @camila.vilas
“Hi! My name is Camila, and I‚Äôm a fashion & beauty creator based in LA. I‚Äôm also a commercial actor and die-hard Vampire Diaries fan. Fun fact, when I‚Äôm not filming videos or shooting content with friends, I‚Äôm rambling on and on about how I‚Äôm going to be fostering kittens :)”
1. In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, what influential person has inspired you?
“My mom & dad! Them having come to the U.S. to give my sister & me a better life means everything. I constantly think about the insane sacrifice that it was, and I‚Äôm forever grateful.”
2. How would you describe your style in three words?
“Feminine, classic, & comfortable.”
3. What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
“My goal is to break down the misogyny embedded within the influencing world. We‚Äôve been trained to view content creators as cringey, lazy, and some even go as far as believing we make ‚Äúfree-money‚Äù. In reality, influencers are entrepreneurs creating their own businesses from the ground up!”

1. In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, what influential person has inspired you?
“An influential person which has inspired me is Camila Coehlo! Not only is she a great fashion blogger, but she is also Latina! She is from Brazil and has a lot of her Instagram captions often in English and Portuguese. She inspires me because you can truly tell she loves what she does and all the projects she does including her line with Revolve keep me going to think about where I can be as I progress in my social media journey.”
2. How would you describe your style in three words?
“I would describe my style as chic, casual and minimal! I love to have fun with hints of color in my outfits and accessorize with small jewelry like gold hoops and rings, but I also love a neutral outfit with a good statement piece.”
3. What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
“My goal as a blogger / influencer is to mend the gap between social media and transparency from creators. We often see a lot of people gate-keep certain things online whether it be where they got on outfit, how they landed a collaboration, and more. I’ve always wanted to help everyone understand how creators get income, how to be authentically yourself online, and to care less about numbers, and more about having a connection with your audience!
Goal #2
My goal is also to make social media more casual as a blogger. I don’t look at Instagram as something to stress me out or that I need to curate the perfect feed and outfits. I love just posting what I’m doing for the day whether it’s a picture of my breakfast, my outfit for the day, some vacation snapshots and more. It’s all about making social media fun for me and not looking at it as something that has to be perfect all the time because people don’t want to see perfect.

As I‚Äôve grown this platform, it has become really important to me to post what and when feels good to me rather than forcing myself to fit into a specific trend or aesthetic.”
1. In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, what influential person has inspired you?
“In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, an influential person that has inspired me is Melissa Wood from Melissa Wood Health. She focuses on using any time you can carve out in your day to create space for you. She‚Äôs inspired me to slow down, live more intentionally and make time to feel good.”
2. How would you describe your style in three words?
“Timeless, minimal, casual.”
3. What is your goal as a blogger and/or influencer?
“My goal as an influencer is to create a community of people that feel confident enough to wear an outfit they once thought they weren‚Äôt ‘cool enough for’ or wouldn‚Äôt ‘look good on them’. To feel inspired or uplifted by the content I post while also realizing that I am just like them. A girl in my 20s trying to grow my self love through fashion, healthy habits, and balance while also making mistakes, feeling lost and anxious. I want people to come to my platforms and feel I am relatable while getting inspired by items and moments that I share that make me feel good.”
